What is it?

 

Our U.S. Patent Pending, an intelligent real-time location based automotive top speed control safety device, SpeedSENSE^TM, which limits the maximum speed (Top Speed) allowed of any vehicle, in real-time, location based on the posted speed limit for the road it is traveling on. Combining the current GPS navigation technology and the electronic speed limiter technology with our proprietary software, this device monitors and controls the maximum speed allowed of the vehicle travelling on a particular road. This device recognize the location of the vehicle, current speed, posted speed limit, and limits the maximum speed of the vehicle for that location. The maximum speed limit allowed is programmed by software setting during the time of installation or can be modify at anytime by the owner of this device. For example, if you want to allow your 16 year old child to be able to drive up to 30MPH on the 25MPH Zone, you can program the OVER_SPEED_LIMIT (OSL) parameter to +5.

 

How it Works?

Using the proven and latest technologies and our custom application software, our device, speedSENSE, recognizes the location of the vehicle, posted speed limit for this location, and the actually speed of the vehicle and electronically limit the maximum speed (Top Speed).  This process does NOT endanger the vehicle in any form, since it simply does NOT allow the vehicle to exceed the maximum allowed speed. (For example, once your child reaches the maximum allowed speed, +5MPH of the Speed Limit posted, 30MPH on a 25MPH zone, the vehicle simply refuses to go above 30MPH no matter how much gas pedal you pressed.)

The device uses the existing GPS technology, which provides vehicle location data and the posted speed limit data of every roadway in the United States.  By extracting the needed data from GPS technology using our intelligent software application, and sending the needed information for the electronic speed limiter on the vehicle ECU (Electronic Control Unit), the device provides the safest solution to speeding problems on our roadways.
